No argument from me. There is already a mandatory volunteer requirement of 100 hours in Texas high schools for graduation that we found troublesome.

Our younger son and his band organized a benefit concert for a family who had lost everything in a fire. When I said he could turn that in for his volunteer hours, he said, "You know, getting credit takes the good feeling out of it."
