My opinion is that the recount won't lead to as many as 1900 in Palm Beach. Though they may pick up about 100 in Broward and if Miami Dade comes into this they could possibly yield a few hundred additional. Over all they may find 1600 to 1700. That's sort of the upper end of the ball park that I think Gore is looking at. And that could possibly overall be as low as 1000. If you factor in the 300 and possibly a 60% of foreign votes that may be say 3600 for Bush gives him likely another 1000 net votes (720 + 300). That looks pretty close to call. I think Bush clearly has more than a real chance. Certainly as good a chance as Gore.

If Miami doesn't recount theirs then it may already be a closer calculus for Bush than any of you are imagining.

It's all to close to call I think. But I feel better that the counts will be made. Because otherwise we wouldn't be able to see either candidate move on legitimately.
