frank--

i am going to buy a house with the DEC calls. i can not wait!

your previous summed up the situation very well. combined, WSTL/AMTX would have had a tough time. now, they get everything they wanted and TI as a strategic partner.

i think the DGs are a result of bell canada and further delay of the GTE ILEC announcement. this is funny to me since i think everyone here on this thread has known for weeks that GTE ILEC would not announce until AFTER jan 1. for these high powered analysts not to have known seems absurd. so, whats the deal? maybe dragging the price down to pick some up on the cheap?

BA will use WSTL for DMT. telcos like to leave with whom they came to the party. and, as far as BC is announced, is the contract firm yet? this is the thing. if you read ALAs PR, you begin to think that they own the market. if you read the actual information though, you have to wonder how 'firm' the contract is.

as a side note, the one thing that could really help us right now is for the FCC to get off its a_s. the telcos need to know what the regulatory environment is before they can deploy. once that is sorted out things should go better. we as shareholders are at the mercy of the FCC, then the telcos, then our friends the market makers. what we have to do is be patient and wait. the situation is not anywhere near as gloomy as it appears. this simplistic assessment that the market doesnt like the deal doesnt hold water. there are too many contradictions. one day WSTL is wall st.'s darling, within hours its a dog with fleas. am i the only one picking up on this?

FRANK--send me some email. i need to tell you something.

good luck to all,
trey
