Fidelty has ticked me off as well. They started charging a load on a fund I've held for years to store my "cash" (Cap&Income-FAGIX) if the funds are in for less than a year, but didn't notify me of the change in policy. I dumped a significant into FAGIX for what I planned to be 3 mo. then found out they were going to charge me a load. So, I've been slowly moving my stocks over to Brown & Co, and I've transferred all my wife's account to American Century.

Fidelity cotinues to dink around with their pricing policies trying to increase their revenues.

I may never completely close all my Fidelity accounts - their Select electronics (FSELX) has been an excellent performer and Brown & Co doesn't take mutual funds at this time. Also, it appears to have a reasonable anti-correlation to Fidelities Contra II (FCONX) fund.
