Factoid: In portable PCs (as well as cameras) LCD displays usually draw more power than the CPU and memory combined.

Also, "1Gb" translates to 128MB of disk space. In a world where 10,000+ MB is commonplace, 128MB doesn't go very far. IMHO, the multilayered, multi-GB "CD credit card" post from yesterday is far more material to SNKD's future.

reply to: The .15 micron technology Samsung is using is as good as anything that Intel can do. Combined with larger size wafer technology, this will lower the price for high capacity memory and really revolutionize disk storage, not just for cameras and MP3 but for portable computers. Imagine being able to use a lap top for five or six hours, with less battery capacity than would be needed now for three hours.
