Yeah, I appreciate that, but what are our alternatives? Are we supposed to declare the Saudis enemies so they can hook up with China? The Chinese are very pragmatic and they'll go with whomever offers the best deal. The Saudis are also very pragmatic and they're only on our side as long as they think we're the best team to align with. Al of our American ALTRUISM is wonderful but most of the "leaders" of the world don't consider it an asset for the U.S. They consider it a "vulnerability". Putin can push the U.S. around as much as he wants because he knows the U.S. will never respond in kind. The U.S. is a Big Dog with NO bite....
