Power Usage...

Lee- the power to switch the pixels on and off is not critical here as the optical power dumped into them. Spatialight was claiming a projection display based on a small silicon substrate LCD. If you bounce a 100W light beam off a chip, and send 50% of the light to a screen, then 50W must be absorbed and dissipated by the chip. Poof! All gone.

BTW- they did a crummy job on image "compression", so these images are unnecessarily bulky.
