Christopher, you see Iomega products all being obsolete in less than four years? In their Q2 conference call, KE mentioned that their R&D budget was being massively increased, and that they had doubled their R&D staff. This doesn't sound like a company planning to rest on its laurels.

They have not made a whole lot of noise about upcoming products, but that doesn't mean there will be no products. Take the announcement of the 2GB tape drive, early this month. They didn't announce until it was already shipping.

Plus, there have been a few hints, beyond the 200 or 400MB Zip. Such as statements saying that they could get current Jaz designs up to 5 GB eventually. Really, I don't think there is any reason to doubt that this company is playing for keeps.

Still, if any crystal ball could see farther than the next quarter in the tech field, it would be a fine crystal ball indeed.
