I agree, just look at the percentage of companies that split and go right back up to the same levels within a couple of years. It doesn't add value your particular shares but it does give investors a sense that it is under valued. Lets face if Intel was at $10/share tommorrow, regardless of how many shares outstanding, it would probably double within a month.
