Hardly. Out of 250 signers and/or ratifiers of the Constitution, maybe 7 could qualify as deists. M.E. Bradford did the best study on this issue, examining all of the personal and public papers of all the men involved with Constitution. It is published under two titles, A Worthy Company and Founding Fathers.

The most quoted book during the Constitutional debates was Dueteronomy. The Declaration is based on a Hugeunot bill of protest against the French king.
