According to Koranic dogma, there are 5 classes of beings, Allah, Angels, men and jinns and animals. Jinns were the first disciples of Mohammed. They listened to Koran and and became Moslems. There are many many places where Mohammed refers to his disciples both men and jinns, who both can ascend to heaven or damned to hell if they are not good Moslems. This is quite unusual in comparison to other religions, both Judism and Christianity preach to men and not demons. In Christian dogma, demons are always considered as bad so demons are not equivalent to jinns because a great number of jinns became Moslems upon hearing Mohammed's Koran. Jinns are also not angels because they are doomed to roam the earth, where angels reside in heaven with Allah. In fact Satin upon casting from the heaven had to take the form of jinns to roam the earth. Thus snakes and other harmful animals were considered to be ruled by bad jinns.

Jinns are a thorn in the side of all of the Moslems who must believe that everything in Koran is true, especially painful, in the side of the secularized American Moslems, Doctors and Engineers who look down upon other religions as dogmatic. This includes Mr. Crow, who obviously does not believe in jinns and has not found a way to spin himself out of it. I would make the same argument with those who believe in dogma in any religion, but American Moslems are the ones who are surprised in its existence in their own back yard.
I can not fathom why Mohammed even chose to preach to these imaginary beings in his religion, unless he was suffering from a severe mental disorder. After all a prophet is sent to lead men and not imaginary apparitions. |
