Barry, I'm old enough to remember it. Have you ever spent much time in Russia? There are five Laws of European Continental Politics:- 1. Never get involved in the Balkans. 2. If you get involved in the Balkans you will lose. 3. If you want to start a World War then start a small war in the Balkans. 4. Any war in the Balkans will end up with more bloodshed than you could have previously imagined. 5. Whatever you do, do not attempt to fight the Serbs. The reason for latter is that the Serbs are the tough cousins of the Russians. They are the ONLY people to have given not only the Germans but the SS a run for their money and were never really conquered throught WWll despite our new allies, the Germans, having at the time put in about four SS divsions plus the assistance of the local Croats and Bosnians who were busily engaged in butchering Serbs on their own account as well as on behalf of the Germans.
