Not a whole lot! Software is a separate dimension in marketing! Outfits like Microworkz that sell $ 299 PCs will eventually network and sell software too, by VAR/VAD relationship, once a strong customer base is developed. Even if they capture 10 % of the sub $ 500 market that is in the millions! With the advent of the internet, the only thing a lay user needs will be the ISP. Spreadsheets and Wordprocessing needs can be met right on the internet. The ISPs and websites will buy these OFFICE 2000 type software on licensing agreements or smart vendors like MSFT will do all this on their own!
