Split will definitly impact the momentum of the stock (a dollar
gain will be equivlent to 2.00 for a 2 for 1 split). Besides,
the company will only announce the split when they have confidence
in their long term future. So, an announcement of split will
definitely trigger a lot of long term investors to jump in to
buy the stock. These are people who want to hold the stock for
at least 3 to 5 years, and the only thing they care is the growth
rate in 5 to 10 years.
