Taro, I don't frequent wingnut sites. So you do have that advantage on me.

But that site is also riddled with errors.

Here is a study on teenaged pregnancies.

Since teens have the highest rate of abortions, let's use this study.

According to the figures, all women between the age of 15 and 19 have a pregnancy rate of 57.4 and an abortion rate of 14.7. All numbers are per thousand except for the ratio of course.

For white women, the figures are 49.8 and 10.4.

For blacks it is 99.5 and 34.5.

So yeah, blacks have a higher rate of abortion than whites. But, as a curb on the growth rate of the black population, it sucks since the pregnancy rate is much higher also.

I suspect that both figures would be closer to the white rates if you correct for poverty since poor whites have higher rates than better off whites. If you look at the tables, rates are higher in the poorer states.

So, while that site tries to make it about race, it is more about poverty.
