Scott,
Stock manipulation is trouble for company insiders only. Professional traders do it all the time and when caught they pay a token fine without admitting the crime. Company insiders get hurt if the attack is on them. I am seeing Mr. McMillan in a new light now. He got hosed on the deal. He buys stock on margin to support the price so the seller doesn't dump it on the open market and depress the price but the price goes lower than it probably would have if he passed on the deal. Mr. McMillan had a lousy day yesterday with a probable six figure loss. The learning experience here is the market is a dangerous place for company insiders who let their positions be known. You are right about the support, if the big guys want to move it down it would take a lot of money to support it. Perhaps the time has come to go long. Just got a message from Seuss that he is long now. ???
