Mike - I couldn't resist jumping in on this CDMA/GSM discussion. Anyone interested should check out the QCOM thread on SI. The Telephony article is widely discredited by now and QCOM's capacity advantages are well established. (Note stock price moving from 48 to 70 in last month or two will ERICY - largest stand alone proponent of GSM has hovered in the mid-40's or lower). Couldn't resist. Unfortunately I think this is also why VLSI had been doing better than LSI (I don't know what current downgrade is about since CDMA is booming)- they were more in ASICS for phones in general than LSI and certainly caught the CDMA wave while LSI didn't have a product (IS-95 CDMA that is). At least now they do.
