I agree. However, there are two things you're forgetting.

1) If some unstated feature :) was included in a system, they would undoubtedly get a bulk discount price and be able to sell it at... say $55 extra. To add on that feature, it might cost $100.

2) There are many (VERY MANY) people out there that are scared to add on anything to their computer. Believe me, I've sold computers for living in the past. People will pay double for a feature that is included in their computer before they'll add it on themselves (no matter how easy it is to do).

So although I agree -- the lower the price, the more you sell -- you also have to consider that you're not comparing apples to apples. When you include a ZIP w/ a system, you MIGHT make it much more apealing because it's 1) cheaper than buying it seperate 2) included.

Also... think about 2 competing companies one selling a cheap box for $500, the other for $550. The $550 has a ZIP the other doesn't. Which will get better reviews? Which will the store workers recommend to unknowledgeable buyers? Which will the power users prefer? I just think that at that price gap, it's a no-brainer.

MHO, that's all.
