Chip, I agree with you. I live in San Jose, CA. I've used Ricochet for 2 years and really enjoy it. Camping in our motorhome near Santa Cruz, Pier 39 in S.F., local restaurants, coffee houses, out by my spa. The mobility is great. I've used it a a few airports of which 11 are now available. From a hotel in D.C. But I use a landline with Prodigy when I'm out of the coverage areas. I'm using by desktop with a land- line at home mostly for the speed. Ricochet speed is coming and I will also use it with my laptop. I've been over to Metricom quite a few times and really like their achievements. It seems like coverage ex- panion is slow. L.A. will be covered before the end of the year. Also other wireless technology may have an impact on the future of MCOM.
