Yep, I think with a no-frills board all I have is sata 2 (3gb/s) and I can't do too much better than this: newegg.com The current price after my rebate will be 42 cents a gigabyte! If I hadn't emptied my gmail trash just now, I might even have had another 10% off code good for a day or two, whoops. Even better than that I might try bidding on ebay. I think I can, with a little patience, get an Intel 320 series 160gb ssd and possibly get my cost down to around 35 cents a gig, ha! I saw your usb boot post too--the other day I finally installed the usb 3.0 drivers for an Asus p8z68-v based PC I assembled, so that will be a good test. I only have one usb3 thumb drive, but it has 16 gigs and that ought to be enough to have some fun.
