If selling calls is a bad idea, than why not think about selling puts instead.. you still are collecting money for time value, and if the stock falls at least you have the premium for downside protection. Seems more in line with the thread purpose.. I am getting ready to start a covered call campaign, but am plagued by the fact that I don't see anything I would like to own long here, and i think we will see a correction before much further upside. I am struggling with whether I should sell puts, or sell naked calls, or buy stock and sell covered calls, or just continue daytrading..

Daytrading is really draining though and so hard to consistently win at. what to do what to do.
