I agree with you wholeheartedly. I owned NOVL for quite sometime and became digusted with the stocks performance and the company's excuses.
I am happy with the performance of CPQ and hope this is all just a bad joke. Novell would not be a good purchase nor would it help Compaq reach its 40 Billion dollar revenue target. If compaq buys novell I truly believe their inadequacies would somehow rub off onto CPQ. There are better things CPQ can do with the 3 Billion dollars they have.

They could buy back some stock and still have 2 Billion left over to ponder acquisitions. Heck if they wait long enough they could just buy NOVL with cash. NOVL is NOT a good investment!
