I will say upfront, I am not an expert, but experienced. Myself having worked in hi-tech off shoots for some years, did decide myself last October to quit a respectable profession and income; because of what a non-profit company had done to my boss who I had known for years on a professional level. Sometimes people leave because they are bored, burned out or need to make a statement on a moral or ehtical issue. Mine was a ethical issue. I quit to make a statement to the smucks at Corp. in S>F> They stunk. Although they were non-profit. They were were worse than some of the MM that are talked about here. Don't read more into something that is there. People quit for many reasons. They don't like it or they are ready for change, or it really stinks. I am glad I quit because of the moron mentatility at S>F> corporate. They fired a man who was good, talented, honest, a great bottom line man but he spoke the truth. So they said good-bye to him, allowing him to run the business for months while they found a replacement. By the way,his replacement just quit because of the bullshit from S>F> corporate. Moral of the story! Just because it;s non-profit doesn't mean its good. Kind of off topic.
But when people quit a company, there are soooooo many reasons. Don't jump the gun. TQ Remember: there is a time for everything...
