I am poor... my God LOL I have two tvs (still no flat panel) ... The new is about 9 years old.. the old one (over 25 years old) heats the house.. no Tivo (PVR) ... no Xbox... OK we have a Wii :O) It is interesting how we generally measure poverty.. it is so 'stuff' based.. none of the list above means much to me.. Things like health care access and good education make folks richer.. The net though I would not be without... don't need a gee whiz bang machine like Jay's as I don't do games etc... just surf... The comment though was not poverty... just lack of income growth... mind you all the talk of the rising middle classes in the east.. to me is cloudy... middle class in China is likely not official poverty line in US or Canada.. it's going to continue... part of the same show...
