William, if facts or numbers are useful to predict future stock, someone will be richer than bill gates in no time by trading stocks. In reality, future is unpredictable no matter what kind of theory or facts you are using. Investing is about assuming risk in order to reap reward in the future. Sometimes it works out, other times does not.

For me at least, invest is totally based on my own opinion(The perception of facts and numbers). The trick is I can not be right every time. But we can certainly hope.
