OT/Frank. Hope so. Just basic stuff, really.

Nice casual shirts, trousers, robe, etc.

Haven't gotten so many nice items at 75 -80% off in a lotta of years. Mgr told me most of the shops - where friends work - have been doing poorly. They're having a lot of trouble moving out winter stock to make way for Spring lines.

And it's not just clothing. Been thinking about a Nordic Trac manual exercise walker for a couple of years. Great when it's too raining or raw and windy for a lunch hour hike. Anyway, 2 wks ago, picked up a hardly used, top of the line Nordic Trac with untouched orig instructional videos and users manual ($500 new) for $140.

Luck, not shopping skill in both cases. Columbus is one of the strongest cities in the mid-west economically. So, to me, it's anecdotal evidence hat this recession might be putting more downward pressure on consumer spending, if prices like these are attainable for quality merchandise without any dickering. Don't remember prices like this in 1990-91 in the mid-West.

Roebear. How was mall traffic in your area today and recently? And how bout up in Edmonton, Frank?

Anybody else out spending money this weekend, feel free to chime in. Am curious. TIA.
