The "talk" has been very earnest, the actions have not.

Both talk and actions have been.

The simple fact of the matter is if bin Laden were behind 9/11, and there was a single shred of evidence to prove it, we would have had him in custody within days after the attacks. All we had to do was show the evidence to the Afghanistan government, and they would have turned him over to us.

Nonsense. They where not going to turn him over, they may have not even been able to turn him over. And turning him over wouldn't have been a huge deal if the Al-Qaida leadership and training camps in Afghanistan where left intact.
