Insider trading. Usually insiders can only trade shares during a
window 4 times a year. This window is setup by the company.
Usually the window opens up a few days after the earnings release
and lasts for about 1 month.

Being an insider, you have to be careful about selling stock.
You cannot quickly buy and sell your own stock. I believe you
cannot sell stock for 6 months, if you purchase it on the
open market. This is why you will see insiders purchase a few
shares like 1000. They are saying, hey im locking myself into
not selling any for a while.

Also, insiders set up a trading pattern of selling their options.
They stick to a pre set pattern of selling some portion of their
options each year. This keeps the SEC off their backs. The 50K
sale is probably just part of one of these pattern sales.
