Like I said to Gottfried I believe everyone has a bias. PRU probably made the moves you pointed out to allow those so inclined to pick up cheap positions in XLNX and ALTR when they downgraded. Today I suspect they were setting up sales into the upward momentum which will undoubtedly slow soon. Tonight I see a big black doji on ALTR and a big gap higher on high volume for XLNX. It may take some time but ALTR and XLNX probably will be lower a week from now than where they closed today. Ignorance is bliss. Those who trade on analysts advice often find that the momentum created by upgrades and or downgrades leave those ignorant enough trade in the direction of the new ratings is anything but a blissful experience. Instead it will leave them learning that the ignorance of trusting an analyst move is just plain stupidity. RtS
