hi patricia thanks for the advice. i agree with you. i have spent a fair bit of time in third world countries so i know about the possible problems. i am thinking of a holiday in late jan or early feb so i think the problems will be known by then. i have to laugh though. yesterday i asked the thread about islas tres marias which i found just by looking in my atlas. i thought they looked interesting and might be good for some diving or snorkelling - turns out they are prison islands and i might get shot just approaching them. maybe i'll just fill my bathtub with sand and goldfish lol charlie
