As to speaking of the House of Israel and the House of Judah, well my friend That is the word of God,it is in fact the beginnings of the family of God and His plan for mankind, in a broader sense. And it is good for all of us to know what God has said in all things.
Discussing and understanding (to the best of our ability) the entire word of God is what we are supposed to be doing. And all of us here, but one, do it in a non-combative and edifying manner, with love and respect for their neighbor.
I2 I say this to you in all due respect, that if you do not care to discuss the beginnings of the Family of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (aka, Israel) you certainly are free not to my friend. The topics are many on this thread and everyone is free to discuss what they see as interesting.
James and Jack made very good points concerning the word of God as it relates to His promises...... Salvation is not the issue within the context of that subject i,e.,the House of Israel or the House of Judah,and no one ever said it was.... Only our Lord Jesus and His shed blood on the cross is the way to salvation. He is the only way.!
All of the word of God is jammed packed with those things that you mentioned, love, grace and forgiveness, etc. It us up to us as followers of our Lord Jesus to present the entire word of God in a loving and brotherly manner lest we be a cast away. It is also our duty as followers of Christ to disconnect ourselves from those who insist on, as Jack so politely put it, "throwing dirt on others" for they will lose ground.....To disagree on some points of scripture is quite normal but to rant and rave and constantly accuse and criticize and twist and corrupt another persons words is not normal and certainly is not of God.
As Jack said we are to test the spirit:
Gal 5:22-26
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
That is the true Christian way.
