shdu - When you are chasing fast moving growth stocks (where you are looking for 2x, 5x, 10x profit) Peter Lynch is right. Use weakness as a chance to double up. Ascend presented such an opportunity 2 weeks ago.

When you are looking at more stable stocks, don't use that theory ! Buy on weakness, sell on strength. I've bought HWP 3 times in the past year, always below 40 (split adjusted) and always sold (too early) at 45-50. I've done the same with others. I'm just pointing out that high fliers have a totally different strategy than plain old growth or value stocks.
