I agree with you... mostly <g>

The SI Communicator isn't meant to replace financial or even non-financial discussion on SI. Message boards are a far better way to catalog & research topics (especially investment-related). However, for many users it can be an excellent supplement to shoot over a quick question, see that someone is online or just say "hello". And... this IM has links to SI included in the user interface, to boot! :)
