Enerflex Signs OEM Agreement with Altronic, Inc.
CALGARY, March 12 - Enerflex Systems Ltd. (EFX:TSX), a leading
Canadian supplier of products and services to the global oil and gas
production industry, today announced that it has signed an Original Equipment
Manufacturer (OEM) agreement with Altronic, Inc. to assemble and market
Altronic and Exacta-based controls in Canada. This follows the acquisition of
the Oil & Gas Division of Exacta Controls by Altronic on December 28, 2002.
"Enerflex is extremely pleased with this agreement," explains Derek
MacKenzie, Vice-President of Enerflex Service. "It provides our customers with
a single point of contact on the Altronic and Exacta-based products which will
be assembled and marketed through our electrical, instrumentation and controls
group, Syntech."
Enerflex now provides its global customers an even more complete product
offering for compressor controls solutions, together with customer specified
applications and products, including:
- The Series XI Controller. This product minimizes programming cost and
complexity by simply requiring application configuration on the part of
the user, while retaining all of the functionality and flexibility of
an off-the-shelf programmable logic controller (PLC) and man-machine
interface (MMI). Embedding a range of application functions within the
core product, this sophisticated yet user-friendly system can be set up
and reconfigured by most operating personnel.
- The RC2000 Controller. This proprietary product is a high-level
controller designed to monitor and control gas engine-driven compressor
packages. It is available for use exclusively on compressor packages
marketed and assembled by Enerflex.
- Altronic DD-40NTS and DE Series Compressor Controls. These proprietary
and cost-effective monitors and controls will be combined with other
Altronic and third-party gauges and instruments and assembled by
Syntech into custom control panel assemblies for both new and retrofit
control panel markets in Canada.
Altronic, Inc. is a world leader in the production of ignition systems
for stationary industrial engines, safety shutdown and monitoring systems,
air/fuel ratio controllers, and electronic governors and fuel valves. The
acquisition of the Oil & Gas Division of Exacta Controls allows Altronic to
