It's the complete lack of supporting data that will keep people from believing a word that USGA publishes - nothing in the provisional patent application supports their claims. There's not a single test result in the provisional patent application.

--USGA has misrepresented its main product, G-Lam, falsely claiming it is an example of "applied nanotechnology." It is in fact Zylon, a commercially available material that has come under fire for losing its anti-ballistic properties under normal use. USGA just has somebody wrap Zylon around standard aviation foam and apply a ceramic outer shell. There is nothing proprietary about that.
