Well .. when they spark off they shoot out x-rays, UV rays and microwaves. Sunlight UV? Yeah .. shade. We get enough without the extra burst. X-Rays? I get enough of those already from the dentist and doctors. Microwaves??? I figure brains in a microwave can't be a good thing. We have entered an unstable period of time, as far as the sun goes. NASA has been warning about the storm for many years. Our solar system is passing through a band of ionized gasses. It's like a coil of wire with electricity in it and the sun is the magnet passing by it. It makes lots of swirling pools of nuclear fire on the sun. Currently the flares are going off to often to locate each one. Unless you happen to work inside NASA or something. The storm is really just getting underway. It is due to peak in 2013.
