Picked up some additional info. today (Steve W.- please, no gushing online. I almost got toasted with CHKPF) WTLK second hand news I heard that 1/2 half of the shares on the open market are held by a T. Rowe Price fund and that the majority of shares are not in the open market. These shares will probably start hitting the street in the October time frame when certain trading restrictions expire and give institutional buyers an opportunity to take the larger type of positions they would prefer. I was told that at this time there is not enough freely tradable stock for any firm to buy without bumping the price up ridiculously. Again, this is second hand information and the conclusions the person arrived at may be bogus. But he could be right! Let's hope so.
