As you may have noticed this is not a very active thread but then
again it is a bank stock. Picked this up several months ago at 31,
wanted it at 28 and missed it. My other choice was Union Planters but
this filled first and no regrets. I still love the banks and I am
seriously thinking of taking a more defensive posture for the '97
arena. Currently own Citicorp(18), Mid-American(5), Sovereign
Bancorp(6). Sold GledFed Pfd., City National, First Union PfdB, Mid-
Atlantic, and Bank of Boston for nice profits these past 18 months.
Any issues you follow in your area? Still like UPC, Core, Crestar,
Hibernia, Star, and a little one called Redwood in Calif, has a pfd
paying close to 10%.
