peter,
Ihave not heard anything new. The consensus of opinion seems
to be that BXM will get their COW's on the 25th of Nov. I have
heard from reading the BXM postings the following:
1.The man who signs the COW's has been deprived of the power to
do so (this has also been denied) and replaced(supposedly by
someone less independent minded(more corrupt ?).
2.There is a meeting sched uled between the combatants for Fri.
Nov.22.
3.Reuters reports "an unamed" individual in the ministry of mines
says that COW's are being "Processed" (Indonesian translation of
processed="Don't hold your breath unless you grease my palms). No
elaboration of "processed".

Also, I think it is obvious that Merukh has no influence in
Indonesia or he has struck out there. Thus the lawsuit threat in
Canada. Still have not heard a LAWYER's OPINION on this action.
I suspect that the COW's may be issued before Mr. M can even
get a lawsuit acted on thus rendering his actions moot, or he
will setlle for what he has or can get from BXM in the
meeting on Friday.
4.Once this is finally resolved the backlog of news will come
flooding out after a collective sigh of relief, and the downing
of much adult beverage. Net result- Bre-X (and many jrs.) fly !
I hope this is the way it goes. I am looking forward to our
THANKSGIVING holiday., and X-mas.
