Hizzonher is doing just peachy - slowly reclaiming his territorial waters as the healing progresses! Helen is a big girl - fifteen pounds? She's in year-old stuff. She's dead cute. Gerber jar stuff. And she's a real good kid. She'll fuss a little before she cries - just to let the big fishes know that there's something that needs feeding/changing. I'm guessing she's in a developmental plateau right now. I wonder what her next big feat will be. You can bet I'll report on it. If you want a gun for home defense - yeah, figuring out how to make it selsctively accessible is a basic responsibility. I like those little touchpad boxes made of steel. Reasonable access time for an adult who knows the combo, but not a kid magnet. I I I have actually opted to not have a defense gun in a state of high alert. My guns all live in a big heavy safe in the garage. But I'm thinking of keeping the SKS (a skuzzy semiautomatic Russian carbine) in the bedroom unloaded. If a 'truder calls my bluff, there's still the bayonet. Leaves me holding a pair of fives anyway.
