New Intelliquis Technology Improves on Streaming Media Products from
RealNetworks, Microsoft, Cisco and Intel
SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 12, 1999--The recent acquisition of
Direct Media and its interactive, first-of-its-kind, multi-directional streaming media
technology, positions Intelliquis (OTC BB:INTQ) to overtake products from streaming
media market leaders RealNetworks (Nasdaq:RNWK), Microsoft (Nasdaq:MSFT),
Intel (Nasdaq:INTC) and Cisco (Nasdaq:CSCO).
Until now, nearly all streaming media was uni-directional, meaning it could only be
broadcast over the internet from one entity to many others. Unlike RealNetwork's
RealPlayer or Microsoft's NetMeeting, Intelliquis' unique new GCM (Global
Communications Module) streaming media technology makes it possible for unlimited
numbers of individuals receiving streamed media to interact with broadcasters and each
other. Also unique is users' ability to communicate through a wide variety of data types
including audio, live and recorded video, text and HTML. GCM can operate over local
area networks, intranets or the Internet.

The streaming media market is one of the fastest growing Internet technology markets,
with hundreds of thousands of hours of streaming audio and video crossing the Web
every week to millions of viewers. As the first to market with the new multi-directional
technology, Intelliquis is ideally positioned to exploit applications for the technology that
can't be done with one-way "net-casting" alone. For example, interactive distance
training and distance learning are key ways that the technology is currently being used,
allowing students to interact in real-time with those providing instruction. Corporate and
scholastic training entities are projected to be among the fastest to adopt the new
technology. The technology is also ideally suited for applications in telemedicine,
corporate communications, e-commerce, online auctions, online infomercials and online
news broadcasts.

"GCM will make other streaming media technologies seem one-dimensional by
comparison," said Bernard Yaw, president and CEO of Intelliquis. "We expect to see
extremely high demand as word begins to spread about this exciting new technology."

Because it relies on existing networks and operates through standard Web browsers,
Intelliquis' GCM streaming media solution is both easy to implement and affordable.
Intelliquis' turnkey hardware, priced in the same range as a low-end PC, is all
broadcasters need to begin delivering network broadcasts within minutes. Participants in
interactive streaming media sessions need only to download the free GCM client and
use existing hardware to begin interacting with broadcasters.
