I had a broker once from Shearson Lehman who followed that Fibonacci system. After an investment seminar in '83 he explained it to me and I thought at the time that if it had been the hour's main topic everyone there would have figured the guy a crank as it did seem a bit whacko. I haven't thought about it much since and could never remember what the system was called anyway but using his variation of the system he did predict gradually falling interest rates "through the '90's" and that was close to 15 years ago when no one was calling for such a period of lowering rates.
