My son in law came from Sitka. I've heard his dad tell the story of his scary encounter with a brown bear. I can't imagine living in that kind of wilderness, though we have plenty of deer, wild turkey and other creatures where I live. I've heard we have cougars, too. Yikes! Enya's music is almost otherworldly.
