Just about every issue they hold near and dear to their hearts is handled by a similar process. No conspiracy theory is too wild, no lie is too egregious, no line of reasoning can be twisted too much, all lines can be crossed as long as they achieve their goals.

Anyone willing to sacrifice their soulfully considered and conscientious view point is at risk of this. You and I are no exceptions, which is why I encourage everyone to be skeptical of the authority they most identify with. It will serve you better than criticising those you don't even relate to IMO.
