Dems Admit Social Security Has Problems

javascript:doLoadf(10,7783317,409127)

RNC Press Secretary Tracey Schmitt released the following statement:

<<<

"For months Democrat leaders have repeatedly said Social Security faced no serious problems. Today, after President Bush and Republican leaders have worked to make the public aware of the problem facing Social Security and the need to act now, Democrat Senators Joe Biden and Jon Corzine acknowledged the problem. We hope others will follow suit so we can work together to strengthen Social Security for future generations."

Much, much more on Dems agreeing there's a problem with Social Security here.

Now that some Democrats appear to be opening their eyes to the Social Security issue, perhaps more Democrats can put partisanship behind them. With 72% of Americans believing Social Security is "in a state of crisis," or "to have major problems," the Democrats ought to realize that the more they fight President Bush by denying there's a problem, the worse off their party will be.
