In Crimea the majority of the population was actually Russian, so why not. Yes indeed. But this time no doubt Putin, when he projected his wishful thinking onto the Eastern Ukraine, made a serious mistake and matters blew up in his face, when he wasn't exactly celebrated by the local population as a saviour, like Hitler by the Austrians at the Anschluss. Add to that the Buka 'mishap', which de facto put an end to Putin's 'Blitzkrieg' so successful so far... /Taro
