That really is a sad story. I wish you luck. I, too, was brought to my knees by margin calls! I now have a very tiny portfolio, but it is all in cash. I figure if it totally melts into a puddle, at least it won't put me further in debt. Although, it is a crying shame to be out of money when stocks are cheap!
