The Guardian finally stopped because it eventually sank it that their campaign had the negative effect ot turning off the moderates.

They're slow on the uptake, but are still capable of some rudimentary low level logic processing.

Contrast that to the brilliant reverse psychology ploy of the Iranians endorsing Bush. (G)

If the Guardian really wants to hurt Bush, they could just endorse him.
