I had no idea about fixing this so I started experimenting. First thing I did was a restore to yesterday, when all was well with the laptop. That resulted in the same 10 second disconnect. I've only had this laptop a couple months and I'm not familiar with them as this is my first one. For reasons that escape me, when I was first setting it up, I downloaded a program called "Easy WiFi" as it sounded like something I'd need when I take this thing out on the road next month.
I noticed when I'd boot up, the little indicator in the tool bar showed a wireless connection was made, then the Easy WiFi would kick it, as it usually does, run for a few seconds and cause a disconnect. I decided to simply uninstall Easy WiFi... and poof, all is well once again.

So... can anyone tell me if I even need Easy WiFi out on the road? What is it really supposed to do? Any other traveling ideas for the laptop would really be appreciated, I'm leaving in about one month for some 6 or 7 weeks, all on the road. Many thanks!
