But he wasn't a good guy when he asserted that Deion was being selfish for flying in to Braves playoff games to pinch run. Deion was playing without a contract at one point, amazingly selfless for a modern day athlete. Nor was McCarver being a good guy when he asserted that Deion's teammates didn't like him, without ever bothering to talk to any of the Braves. In reality, the Braves and Falcons all liked him, and appreciated what he was doing. His locker was always a gathering spot, but McCarver wouldn't know that since he didn't bother to visit the Braves locker room. I agree on your criticism about McCarver's announcing. He is trying to appeal to the non-hardcore fans, and it doesn't come off very well. Tom
